Concours 101
What is a concours d'elegance?
French for "competition of elegance," a concours d'elegance is a judged beauty competition celebrating the artistry, history and craftsmanship of the automobile. Concours events take place throughout the world, displaying precious vintage and classic cars, some of which might only be seen once in a lifetime. Car collectors who display their vehicles do so to share their art and to enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded enthusiasts.
What makes The New York City Concours different?
One major difference is we are on a rooftop in New York City! And, you'll experience the event from day to evening. We are not using d'elegance in our name as we feel New York City is more glamorous with a dash of grit than classically elegant. Therefore, our vision is to create a GLAMOUR + GRIT event that exudes New York City culture and offers more than a car show or just viewing beautiful cars. We curate experiences of pop culture, luxury lifestyle and live music for you to enjoy with family and friends. All with the backdrop of New York City.
Come for the day or plan to stay for the weekend. The Concours, located in the heart of the historic Seaport District is within walking distance of major attractions such as the 911 Memorial, the Oculus, Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange and more. And of course being in the greatest city in the world, there's a lot to explore: Broadway shows, world-class restaurants, Madison Avenue shopping, Times Square and much, much more.
